Royal Enfield to Move Towards Bigger Engines

Royal Enfield has recently become the most popular and youthful motorcycles in India. The former British motorcycle manufacturer, which has now become an Indian firm, is planning to expand its product line-up for the country. Currently, the firm has been working on three engine displacements, starting from 350cc, 500cc and the largest one is 535cc. The manufacturer has designed various models within the 350cc and 500cc range, such as Thunderbird, Classic Dessert Strom, Classic Battle Green, Bullet 350 and Electra and many more. The newly introduced 535cc cruiser motorcycle is Continental GT, which is basically a Cafe-Racer.

Talking about the company's future plan, the firm has now confirmed the production of two new engines, a 400cc and a 600cc. Both these engines are being upgraded by the existing ones. The company is planning to launch two new motorcycles with more elegant looks and retro-style features carrying these upgraded engines in the coming years. The upgraded engines will definitely be producing more power and torque as compared to the previous ones. It is also expected that the upcoming motorcycles also carry fuel-injected engines.

Well, Royal Enfield is not at all competing now with any other cruiser manufacturer, as it is providing only smaller displacement engines up to 500cc. But, if the 400cc and 600cc motorcycles would really be making their appearance, it will definitely compete against Harley-Davidson cruiser motorcycles. The lowest engine offered by the firm is Harley-Davidson Street 750. However, it seems that the Royal Enfield has already started working on these upcoming engines along with the motorcycles.

The upcoming motorcycles are expected to feature single-cylinder engine, as it helps the cost-cutting of the products and making it more affordable. After the introduction of Royal Enfield Continental GT, the sales of the motorcycles are increasing each passing day.
