The upcoming hatchback from Maruti Suzuki named 'Baleno' was going to be launched by October end, but now there is likely to be a change in the launch schedule. As per some new reports, it seems like people will not have to wait for this model for long. Recently, a Nexa showroom in Bengaluru has put up a banner revealing that this car is 'Coming Soon'. We don't know what this 'Soon' means, but speculations are strong that it will be introduced even before the festive season. However, one thing is confirmed that it will be sold out through Nexa outlets.

Dimension wise, it measures 3,995 long, 1,745 mm wide and 1,470 mm tall and carries a boot space of 355 litres. The exterior portions like projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and LED tail lights reflect a resemblance to the Swift model. It also gets a wraparound tail lamp cluster and a sloping roofline that may be counted among some distinctive features. The interior is trimmed in black accompanied by silver accents. There are also certain portions that receive chrome highlight. It is fitted with advanced equipments like engine started button, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, SmartPlay infotainment unit and some safety components like ABS, EBD, etc.

Discussing the mechanical configuration, the Indian spec Baleno will be equipped with a 1.2 litre K Series petrol engine that will be paired to a 5-speed gearbox alongside a CVT unit. Another powertrain option will comprise a 1.3 litre DDiS unit, mated to a manual gearbox for transmission. This motor is likely to be offered with SHVS technology, seen in the Ciaz model.
