Suzuki Intruder, a 150cc cruiser from Japanese bike maker in Indian lineup has been launched in its improved 2019 version. Although, the motorcycle continues to be offered in two variants-the carburetted and the fuel injection version. The former is priced at INR 1,01,362 while the latter attracts the price tag of INR 1,08,162. Both the mentioned prices here are ex-showroom, Delhi. Yes, it’s understood that the price tag of above INR 1 lakh is quite heavier for a 150cc motorcycle. But there are options available which one can consider in nearabout pricing.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V:
One of the TVS’ flagship models, the Apache RTR 200 4V is priced at INR 1,11,280, which is around INR 3000 premium over the fuel injected Intruder variant. Also, it is comparatively more powerful with an equipped 197.75cc air and oil-cooled fuel injected motor. The mill is capable of churning 21PS of maximum power and transmitting 18Nm of peak torque to the rear wheel via a mated 5-speed gearbox. Also, it comes equipped with a slipper clutch which makes its most affordable motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler market with this feature. Among others, this better amalgamation of performance and practicality motorcycle gets a flyscreen, an all-digital instrument cluster with lap timer and a dual channel ABS with rear lift off protection.
Bajaj Pulsar NS200:
Priced at INR 1,12,307, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes featured with a few attributes lesser than the RTR 200. However, the bolted powertrain the 199.5cc liquid-cooled motor is powerful though with churned out the power of 23.5PS and 18.3Nm of peak torque. The power transmission, on the other hand, is handled by a 6-speed gearbox. While the underpinned perimeter frame offers better handling on the go. As compared to the RTR, the Pulsar NS200 supplies better ride quality with extra sportiness.

Suzuki Gixxer SF FI:
For those who have a crush on faired bikes, the Gixxer SF FI is a good option. It is the bike based on similar Gixxer platform being used by the Intruder as well. Not even this, the motorcycle also shares a majority of components as well as the powertrain from the Gixxer model. The 154.9cc air-cooled and fuel injected motor spawns out 14.8PS and 14Nm of torque. Similarly, the single channel ABS and an all-digital instrument cluster are also the shared bits from the Gixxer SF FI which costs around INR 6,256 lesser over the Intruder FI model.
Yamaha FZ-S FI V3
In the 150cc engine displacement, Yamaha FZ-S FI V3 is also an option which one can consider. It’s new and aggressive in bodywork with styling inspired from the elder sibling the FZ250. Also, the instrument cluster on the bike is an updated unit along with an all-new LED headlamp, a lower seat, a larger front disc incorporated with a single-channel ABS. In terms of power, the FZ-S FI gets similar 149cc air-cooled, fuel injected motor of the outgoing model. The mill is capable of spawning 13.2PS and 12.8Nm of torque. It is the lately introduced model and due to its new bodywork which looks massive as compared to other 150cc bikes, the motorcycle being able to generate volume for Yamaha.
