Tata Hexa SUV Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo

The next big unveiling from the domestic automaker, Tata Hexa, has finally made its debut at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Auto Expo. The SUV has now replaced Aria and has got extensive upgradations over the current version. Hexa acquires design cues from Tata's three design studios- India, Italy and UK. All newbies from the automaker has done their styling from these workshops only. The concept was first showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and this time also it is the production version of the vehicle, which has been released in India by the automaker.

Powertrain of the car comprises of a 4-cylinder VARICOR 400 2.2-litre diesel engine, delivering 153BHP of maximum power and 400NM of peak torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Besides this, a six-speed automatic transmission is also paired with the engine as an option. The vehicle also features 4WD drive train system and the drive mode selector, which makes it more dynamic and comfortable over the rough terrains. With a plethora of safety and comfort features, Hexa grasps the eyes of a diversified range of car enthusiasts.

Visually, it has plenty of wow elements like an edgy outline, LED day-time running lights, dual-tone bumper, LED tail lamps, a roof spoiler and dual-exhaust pipes. Moreover, it gets 19-inch alloy wheels, plastic body covering, high shoulder line and high ground clearance. On an all, it appears like a full-shaped SUV. As per the interiors, the car features leather captain seats allowed to carry 6 passengers, refined dashboard, mood lighting, central AC vents, window shades and revitalized steering wheel. For safety purposes, the vehicle carries 6 airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and Terrain Management System. Also, there are Automatic, Dynamic and Comfort options available for the suspension setup.

The company puts a price tag between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh for the new SUV and assures about the launching later this year.
