Tata Tigor Launched in India at INR 4.70 Lakh

Tata Motors' latest offering in the sub-4 metre sedan segment, the all-new Tata Tigor has been launched in the Indian market at a introductory price of Rs. 4.7 Lakh(ex-showroom,Delhi). The sedan debuted at the 2016 Auto Expo with a code name Kite 5. It also appeared at the Geneva Motor Show 2017 along with the subcompact SUV Nexon. Sharing the platform with the Tata Tiago hatchback, the Tigor borrows major design cues from its sibling hatchback, precisely the front fascia. While, the rear makes its stand out of the crowd. It will rival against the popular cars like Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Swift Dzire, Volkswagen Ameo and the Ford Aspire.

Dimensions and Design - The sub-4 metre sedan Tigor measures 3,992mm in length, 1,677mm in width and 1,537mm in height along with a wheelbase of 2,450mm. The compact sedan comes with a ground clearance of 170mm and the available boot size is 419 litres. Technically, Tata Tigor is the third car from the domestic brand to receive the IMPACT design language. The front gets a dual-tone front bumper, a revamped honeycomb grille with chrome-garnished bottom lip.

Features - Here goes the massive feature list and on variants: XE, XT, XZ and XZ(O). To start off with, the Tata sedan comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with Mirrorlink. This means that you can easily pair your phone and receive navigation updates and media updates on the screen. While Apple CarPlay and Android Auto seems to be missing which could have been a better addition.

Power Mill- It comes with two engine options across the varinats: a 1.2-litre Petrol mill and a 1.0-litre Diesel mill.
The 1,199cc 3-cylinder petrol powerhouse is churns out a maximum power of 85 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 114 Nm which comes out at 3,500 rpm. While, the diesel-powered combustion chamber propels out 70PS/140Nm. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
