India auto giant Tata Motor's much awaited car of the season Tata Zest has been finally launched in the market for sale after the months of camouflaged testing, spied features and yeah, anticipation of people who think that this car will change the fortune of the company in the passenger car market across the country. Also, there is another launch on the cards for the company, that is Tata Bolt, which will hold the flag of the company in the hatchback niche.
Now, the features are already known to everyone and that car does has classy tilted interiors, which are first of its kind in sedan cars, at least in India. Nevertheless, the anticipation was about the engines and the Tata Zest does not disappoint us. There are total 9 trims, that is 4 petrol, starting from INR 4.64 Lac and hitting class high of INR 5.99 Lac and 5 in diesel with a base price of INR 5.64 Lac and going till INR 6.99 Lac. The petrol powerhouse of the car is newly invented 1.2 Litre Revotron engine with 90 PS power and 140 Nm torque and the very common 1.3 Litre Multijet with same 90 PS power and 200 Nm of torque from Fiat comes with the diesel trims.
The one diesel engine trim comes with the 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) system and remaining all come with the 5-speed manual system. The mileage of the car is 17.6 km/l for the petrol engine and it's healthy 23 km/l for the diesel engine as well. So, are you planning to buy one for you?
