Today, if we talk about electric vehicles, then we surely cannot leave Tesla out as the company has just stunned the world with its surprisingly high range of distance with its cars. Now, one more update has rolled out for Tesla's Model X range and that is availability of all wheel drive system (AWD). The car will get the dual motor setup, for each of its rear and front axles like its Model S P85D cousin. Tesla will be offering this Model S in different power packages like 85 kWh, 60 kWh and a moderate 80 kWh trim as well. These models will also be equipped with the variable torque split function, to distribute torque equally to all wheels.
This Model X range is also expected to travel around 430 km, which is exactly as same as the range of Model S 85 kWh. Another important feature of the car is its 'falcon wing' doors which open up and inward to make sure that the passengers don't get bogged down in traffic or nasty parking situations.
However, the Model X emerged in 2013, but the deliveries are getting late due to the development plans of Model S and the new rear doors as well. But, now the company's CEO Elon Musk has ensured its customers to deliver the cars by this summer. Well, stay hopeful for that.
