Toyota to See Hike in Prices From January

Toyota motors, the well-known automobile manufacturing firm has announced today that the company is planning to make a 3 percent price hike for all of the models of the company from January 2017. The company mentioned a rise in input costs coupled with the depreciation of the rupee, as the reason for this price hike. The price hike will increase the price from Rs 16,920 to Rs 93,360 per vehicle from the most affordable to the most luxurious car of the company.

N. Raja, company director and senior vice president (marketing and sales) said, “There has been an increase in pricing of raw material commodities like steel, aluminum, copper and rubber over a period of the last six months and this puts a lot of pressure on us. Another factor leading to higher input cost is the appreciation of yen in the international market which has increased the cost of parts that we import from Japan.”

The company is currently manufacturing its Etios, Etios Liva, Etios Cross, Corolla Altis, Camry, Camry Hybrid, new Innova Crysta and Fortuner locally in the country. According to company’s dashboard, it sold a total number of 11,309 units across the country in the month of November 2016, which is increased as compared to last year when the company made sales of 10,278 units across the country at the same time last year.

Meanwhile, the company at this final stage of the year under its ‘Remember December’ campaign is offering you a chance to buy any Toyota car at 100 percent finance (on-road price). This will allow you to buy any Toyota model including company’s latest Innova Crysta, without paying even a single penny. Apart from this, the campaign also offers various benefits over different models of Toyota.

Toyota Fortuner 2016

The Etios hatchback in this month will be offered with benefits up to Rs 30,000, Etios Platinum sedan will get benefits of up to Rs 40,000, and Corolla Altis with benefits up to Rs 60,000. Furthermore, the company’s two flagship car models the new Innova Crysta and the newly launched Fortuner will not be available with any benefits, and the new Fortuner will not even get the 100 percent finance offer, that offer will be available only for new Innova Crysta.
