TVS Draken Concept (Apache) Snapped Testing in India

It was back in the year, 2014, when the TVS has showcased its newly designed sports motorcycle concept, christened as TVS Draken. As per the manufacturer, the TVS Draken is the upcoming Apache sports motorcycle carrying a quarter-liter engine displacement. The concept has made its first official appearance at the Auto Expo, Delhi in 2014. Since last two years, the TVS Motor Company has shown up their interest in introducing higher displacement sports motorcycles. Another one coming in the row is the result of the collaboration of the TVS Motor Company with the German motorcycle manufacturer, BMW Motorrad.

Moving towards the surprising thing is that the TVS Apache, Draken Concept based motorcycle, has recently spotted during its testing over the Indian ground. The next generation TVS Apache is believed to be powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor configuration carrying an engine displacement of 200cc. The power plant gets tuned to churn out a maximum power of approx 28 BHP and achieves a peak torque of 20 Nm, while coupled with 6-speed transmission. The quality riding has been provided by monoshock suspension at the rear and front fat forks. On the safety front, the disc brakes will be there for sure accompanied with ABS as standard.

While it’s been tested on the National Highway-5, the TVS Draken Concept has revealed various other components, which expectedly be making their appearance on the original version of the TVS Apache. The 5-spoke alloy wheels, petal disc brakes at both front and rear, mudguard design are some of the major components found over the test mule of the spied motorcycle. The rear section of the motorcycle gets LED tail-light. The spilt-cum-stepped seat and sporty riding position are some of the major attractions.
