In order to increase the market share in the India market, TVS Motor Company has decided to launch a two wheeler in every third month of the year. TVS Motor Company has launched 110cc model Jupiter in the scooter segment.
It is the forth product by TVS in this segment. Apart from this, Scooty Pep, Vego and Streak are the already available models. Power train of Jupiter is able to churn the power of 8BHP. The company also claims to provide 62kmpl mileage. It has 17 liter fuel capacity under the seat. Jupiter is available in titanium grey, volcano red and midnight black colors. Delhi ex-showroom price of the scooter is decided as Rs. 44,200. The company is also planning to showcase the upgraded version of its scooty which is expected to be launched in January, 2014.
Other companies as Honda and Hero have already set a market trend in the scooter segment with Activa and Pleasure respectively. Recently Honda has introduced a light weight version of Activa i.e. Activa i. Yamaha and Mahindra have launched their scooters in last years.
