TVS Celebrating the Scooty Brand Silver Jubilee with 2 New Colour Options

TVS Scooty, famed female friendly scooter range in the Indian market, has completed a milestone of 25 years. In lieu of celebrating this huge success, Hosur-based two-wheeler maker is offering two new colour options including the Revving Red and Glittering Gold. The TVS Scooty range is available with two variant in our biking industry-the Scooty Pep+ and the TVS Zest 110. The Scooty Pep+ costs INR 42,397 (ex-showroom) and the new colour options are limited to this variant only.

The Scooty Pep which was launched in 1994, is one of the most beloved entry-level scooters in the country. And sooner it succeeded in winning hearts of its target audience-young Indian women. Also, with the time passed the name has grown as synonymously with young female riders. The Scooty Pep+ enjoys a huge customer base of 4.5 million and connects the remote cities and towns as well. The Scooty which proved as a huge success for the company makes it possible the commencement of several programs under the same moniker. Like, the "Women on Wheels"- a rider training institute for women, the '99 colours' mass customisation program for Scooty range and the Wimbledon edition as a special celebration series.  Also, the TVS Zest has registered its name in the India Book of Records as the first 110cc scooter to traverse the highest motorable road in the world- Khardung La.

In the recent past years, the TVS has updated Scooty with a host of practical updates along with a few additional features like the side stand indicator, under-seat storage hooks, open glove box, daytime running lights and TVS’ Eazy Stand technology which sports in putting the centre stand by 30 per cent.

The powering for the TVS Scooty Pep+ comes from an 87.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that spawns 4.8 bhp and 5.8 Nm of peak torque. While the TVS Zest 110 uses the maximum power of 7.8 bhp along with 8.4 Nm of peak torque from the 109.7 cc CVTI single-cylinder engine. The transmission on both the variants is managed by a CVT automatic unit. As the company claims, the Zest 110 is rated to complete 0-60kmph sprint in just 11.1 seconds which makes the quickest offering in its segment.
