Finally, the new entrant, UM Motorcycles inaugurates its maiden dealership to dispatch the booking of the first phase, which started by the firm just after the two months of the launch, at the Delhi Auto Expo. The automaker received bookings over 1000 units for two of its Renegade cruisers-the Commando and the Sport S, and the dispatch is set to commence from this month.
So, to hand over the motorcycles for first customers, American automaker started its first showroom at Connaught Place nearby the Radisson Blu Marina Arcade, in the capital city of Delhi. Recently, the company initiated the second phase bookings, the second phased bookings lot will be delivered in the August month this year, as per the sources. The third premium Renegade Classic offering is likely to go on sale by the end of this year.
The company provided the list of all 36 dealerships which will serve the UM Renegade likes in the country. The list also comprises the opening of 11 new showrooms in the next coming months, including the Connaught Place, Delhi dealership.
Glancing over mechanicals, the Renegade range built around the same platform, apart their aesthetics divergence. Holding the powertrain of a 279cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder motor, cruisers uses the churning power of 24.8PS of power at 8500 revs and torque of 21.8Nm at 7000 revs for ultimate power performance. To attain this, the engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox to offer the promising cruising experience to the rider.
Look Wise, all the Renegade cruisers featured with almost identical aesthetics as side LED lights for 360-degree vision, USB charging socket, digital speedometer, under seat storage ease as well as fatty tyres, burly 41mm front forks, and front disc brakes for dynamic cruising.

For now, the manufacturing of these cruisers are dealt by the business partner, Lohia Motors at its Kashipur based production facility in Uttarakhand. If required company can invest to establish its own manufacturing unit to cater the increasing demand for the bikes in future.
