Volkswagen Launched Hybrid Golf GTE in the United Kingdom

The world is going green for cars and the manufacturers are making every effort to cash this opportunity. Now, The German automaker Volkswagen has now launched a hybrid variant of its famous Golf family hatchback car in the United Kingdom with the GTE extension name. The reason behind adding GTE is for making the car distinguished from its other cousins, which are Golf GTI petrol and Golf GTD diesel or this what the company thinks. This plug-in hybrid has good power output and the changes have been done only in mechanical parts, while cosmetically, the hatchback is as same as the current models.

This GTE Plug-in has been powered by a 1.4 Litre TSI petrol engine producing 150 bhp power and an electric motor which produces 102 bhp net power. In total, the Golf GTE is able to produce 205 bhp power and around 350 Nm of torque as well. The power gets delivered to its wheels via Volkswagen's standard 6-speed DSG gearbox, meant only for the hybrid vehicles.
