The world's largest automobile brand Volkswagen has taken the fans with surprise, by presenting a car which was actually designed for the Sony PlayStation3 gaming console. Yeah, you got it right and we are definitely talking about the Volkswagen GTI Roadster.
This concept car from the company has been powered by a heavy 3.0 Liter V6 biturbo engine which has the capability of producing 50 PS and maximum torque of 560 NM @ 4000 – 6000 RPM. It has 7- speed DSG gearbox and latest all wheel drive system for better performance. The acceleration of this car takes it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and can hit the maximum speed of 306 km/h.
The car has totally aerodynamic design with 2,494mm wheelbase, 1,090mm height, 1,894 mm width and 4,158 mm of span. The GTI Roadster is very fast in the looks and I guess the gamers which have driven this car while playing the video game, will be eagerly waiting for the launch of this car as they know the exactly that what this car can do in reality.
The Volkswagen GTI Roadster concept is an idea of the 3 ambitious engineers of the Volkswagen group, namely, Malte Hammerbeck, Domen Rucigaj and Guillermo Mignot who showed their hard work at the Woerthersee event, which will last till 31st May. The Volkswagn however don't have any plans to put this car under production very soon, but as the future is very bright for these types of concept cars which can take the world apart with their sheer performance, style, design, concept and power may hit the road soon,
