Following yesterday’s glorious launch, Volvo India is now trying to bewitch their customers with more convenience. The just launched plug-in hybrid XC90 T8 Excellence will be available with two personal charging stations installed at no additional cost. Company’s technical staff will perform the task at the preferred locations of the customers.
“The XC90 T8 Excellence sets industry benchmarks for environment friendly efficiency and emissions while enveloping customers in first-class Swedish luxury. It is not only a segment-first but India’s first plug-in hybrid SUV and we see a lot of interest from our more affluent customers, who prefer to experience ‘responsible’ luxury," said, Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India, while talking about the new model. With this new variant, the company has done something remarkable in its history of 89 years. Launched at INR 1.25 crore, the Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid is worth a package incorporating several tech bits and epic design.
The opulent SUV features a radar setup to make the driving safer. Basically, the system has got a 360 degrees radar and when the camera gets on, a collection of preemptive safety functions like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, collision warning featuring auto-braking for the foot passengers, cyclists, rest of the vehicles and large stray animals, blind-spot detection with Cross traffic alert, park pilot, and rear collision warning will get activated.
Like other Volvo machines, the company has done an incredible job on the safety front of the said unit, maintaining the standard for which it is known for. Furnishing strong safety cage, seat-belt pre-tensioners, and world-first run off-road protection system, Volvo has clearly proven that safety has always been a key parameter in cars manufactured under its moniker. To garner more, it has also offered maximum Side Impact protection and Whiplash protection, which eventually let it earn a five-star Euro NCAP rating.
