The Direct rival of Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan is expected to launch in the Indian market this month and prior to this, the carmaker has started a training programme for the authorised dealerships across the country. Thanks to the Team-BHP, we got inside out images of the India-spec Tiguan SUV version ahead of its official launch. The pics reveal all the interior and exterior details of the car.

According to report on Team-BHP, the VW Tiguan will be offered in the Indian market in Comfortline and Highline variant levels, ditching the entry-level Trendline trim. On the exterior, the SUV boasts of LED headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) insert, LED tail lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, occupants’ comfort and safety are kept of the top, as the Tiguan gets three-zone automatic climate control system, electronically operable front seats, heating function for both the front seats, memory function for the driver seat, 8.0-inch Composition touchscreen smart infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and 8-speaker sound system as a part of standard details.
On the top-end Highline trim, one will get added details such as 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry with push-button engine start, panoramic sunroof, Easy Open gesture-controlled tailgate, reverse parking camera and ambient lighting. What missed on the Indian-spec Volkswagen Tiguan are the 12.3-inch Active Info Display, fully digital instrument cluster and a heads-up display.
Under the hood, VW Tiguan will be fitted with a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine as standard which is further mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. The outputs are channelled to all four wheels via the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. Well, we expect a price range for the upcoming VW Tiguan between INR 25 Lakh and INR 27 Lakh, ex-showroom.
