VW Cross Polo to Get Few Aesthetic Alterations at the End of 2015

The popularity of Volkswagen's Polo hatchback in India brought a new idea in the manufacturer's mind to perform some unique actions on this vehicle via introducing its beefed up version, which has been launched last year as the first ever crossover model from VW. Undoubtedly, the Cross Polo got a terrific response from the customers that raised up the company's confidence to compel it for making this runabout more demanding as VW set up an updated variant with new powertrain early in this ongoing year.

VW Cross Polo ExteriorNow, the market report has claimed that the vehicle will again receive some cosmetic modifications and additional features by the end of the current year. Based on the Polo hatchback, the ongoing crossover version inherits major styling cues from this small model. However, the facelifted variant will include minor aesthetic updates and additions, such as new 16 inch wheels and fresh fitments to manifest more glamorous look as compared to its predecessor.

On the other hand, some of the decorative parts are expected to remain same as the current one, namely black finished dual beam halogen headlights, silver accented 'Cross' bumpers, silver colored roof rails and rear view mirror housing. The interior is also anticipated to comprises same features as its existing model, apart from few additional attributes.

VW Cross Polo InteriorUnder the hood, the upcoming VW Cross Polo will continue to be powered by a 1.5 litre four cylinder TDI diesel engine and a 1.2 litre petrol mill. Both of these engine trims will produce power outputs of 88.73 bhp, 230 Nm and 74 bhp, 110 Nm, respectively. The former one is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and returns fuel efficiency of 20.14 km/l, while the later one confers 16.47 km/l.
