Volkswagen will set up its Vento facelift in India by the end of this ongoing month, while its bookings have already been commenced in the country at the token amount of INR 25,000. This updated version will have a plethora of aesthetic modifications as well as additional features and the most noticeable change will be seen in its fuel efficiency. GM has amazingly tweaked out all three mills of this model, such as 1.2 litre petrol, 1.6 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel units that make the Vento 7.5% fuel efficient than its current one.
Two transmission options will be available, a 5-speed manual and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic for transferring the power to its wheels. Design wise, the sedan will get a latest front end, including Passat motivated grille, horizontal fog lamps alongside integrated cornering lights, new bumper and bonnet. However, the rear profile would come with updated chrome stripped bumper and new tail lights.
Coming to the other features, the Volkswagen Vento facelift will have electrically operated outside rear view mirrors comprising LED turn signals, auto folding mirrors, cruise control, external boot release, dead pedal and a chilled glove box. Additionally, the runabout will make its appearance in the Indian market in two new light color options, Cloud Titanschwarz and Walnut Desert Beige.
VW will give slightly higher price tag to this facelift model as it will be more fuel efficient, beautiful and convenient than its predecessor. The upcoming Vento would compete against the likes of the Hyundai Verna facelift, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
