Yamaha MT25 Slowly marking Its Presence (Spied)

The rendering of a naked street-fighter is getting real slowly. The Japanese two-wheeler giant is perfectly keeping secrets from the world, but those people having third eye on the upcoming products wouldn't let them keep any secret. This is not at all the first time when a naked street-fighter is being spotted testing over the normal tarmac. A number of Indonesian websites, who are publishing the picture, claim it to be the naked avatar of the well-famed Yamaha R25. Several Indonesian websites are proclaiming it as the Yamaha MT25. As per the manufacturer, there is no confirmation on the existence of the spied motorcycle.

The Yamaha MT25 will be sharing its technical specifications with the existing Yamaha R25. The only difference carried by both the motorcycles is the exterior bodywork. Powered by the very same quarter-liter engine incorporated with parallel-twin motor, it is capable to fetch out a total power of 35.5 BHP and 22.1 Nm of peak torque. The 250cc displaced engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. But, if in case, the Yamaha MT25 will get replaced by the Yamaha MT-03, it will be featuring a larger displaced engine.

Designed over the same chassis, the Yamaha MT25 gets a new tail unit and swing-arm as well. The firm has also added a split pillion grab rail, which can be easily fetched out by the spied image. The cosmetic updates of the spied Yamaha MT25 show more similarity with the Yamaha R3 as compared to the Yamaha R25. In order to achieve straight handlebars, the designers could leave the clip-on handlebars behind.

However, the question still arises that which one would be making its way towards the launch; is it Yamaha MT25 or MT-03.
