Yamaha To Launch M-Slaz (MT-15) on 1 December at 32nd Thailand International Motor Expo 2015

The Japanese automaker, Yamaha Motor Company Limited, will be releasing the ultimate 150cc premium naked street fighter Yamaha M-Slaz on the eve of the 32nd Thailand International Motor Expo 2015 on December 1. Reports stated that the premium commuter is expected to be launched in Thailand first and after that in Indonesia, as the bike is in a testing phase for some time in Indonesia. The company has confirmed that the naked R15 will be called Yamaha M-Slaz from now onwards.

Aesthetically designed Yamaha M-Slaz gets a fresh styling rather than what its fully faired siblings looks like. It features an LED headlamp, husky fuel tank with spike extensions and black plastic placed on the top, split-up seats and LED taillight. Under belly encloses the engine. The super fascinating tagline has also revealed, which says, "Slash Your Darkness".

Technically, the M-Slaz would get same power specs that were found on the naked Yamaha R15 version 2.0. It is being powered by the 150cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, single cylinder engine that produces an output of 17 PS at 8500 RPM and 15 NM at 7500 RPM, paired with a six speed gearbox. The suspension duties are being perform by a new inverted telescopic fork up front and the monoshock setup at the rear end. The street fighter is equipped with alloy wheels, disc brakes at both the ends and sturdy tyres. The expected price of the M-Slaz is around INR 1.58 lakhs.
