Yamaha Unwraps New Maxi-Scooter X-MAX 300

Adding some new spice to the line-up, Yamaha has just unmasked its X-MAX scooter range with a 300cc engine. The earlier X-MAX 250 has now been replaced by this faster and fuel efficient machine, which is inspired from the stylish hulk TMAX 530. It also gets ‘twin-eye’ LED headlights. A brief insight of the new maxi-scooter is given below:

Beginning the note with the new supplements, the scooter now features enhanced under-seat space for two full-face lids, a power socket, keyless ignition and traction control. Heading towards the power numbers, the automaker has opted single-cylinder engine, which is Euro-4 compliant as well and churns to ‘achieve more power using less fuel’, affirms Yamaha. Furthermore, it offers better acceleration and an increased top speed as compared to the X-MAX 250, however, the consumption rate is very low.

The scooter has now an ‘all-new’ frame with double-clamp telescopic fork and twin rear shocks. It has also been configured with 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels. To halt the acceleration at extremities, there is a 267mm single brake disc up front while a 240mm disc at the rear (including ABS).

In order to prevent crashes in wet or slippery areas, traction control system comes as standard. The keyless ignition system has also been offered on the TMAX, which will let you start the engine without using the key. The new instrument panel gets a round-shaped analog speedometer with tacho dials and a digital display positioned in the center.

You can get the X-MAX maxi-scooter in a gray, white or bronze shade as the pictures revealed by Yamaha features three colors. As far as the launch is concerned, it might go on sale in March next year, albeit, the two-wheeler will make a glorious debut at the EICMA show scheduled to be incepted from November 8.
