Phottix New Flash Units to Hostage with Sony Multi-Interface Hotshoe

Phottix has released two new flash units for the Sony trademarked Multi-Interface Hotshoe. The flash units from Phottix are named as Mitros and Mitros + TTL Flash, which are specifically designed to cooporate with the multi-interface hotshoe; designed by the Japanese. Although, both the flash units do exist in the company's portfolio, but not compatible with the Sony. Hence, the firm has come-up with an updated Mitros and Mitros + TTL flash carrying new features.

The Phottix has made them worldwide available carrying an affordable price tag of $299 for the Mitros and $399 for the Mitros + TTL flash. However, both the flash units carry impressive yet identical features. Those features which have been shared by both the components are High Speed Sync and rear Curtain Sync, Manual and bracketed Flash Exposure Compensation, 3.5mm sync port and a USB port; used for firmware upgrades. Besides these, both the flash provides a guide number of 58 along with a rotation of 180 degrees and can also be tilted by 97 degrees.

Phottix Mitros and Mitros+ Flash

Projecting some more lights over the technical features of both the Mitros and Mitros +, they are highlighted with full TTL functionality. On top of that, they are having manual and multiple modes, which are complimented with Auto/Manual Flash Head Zoo. The firm has given a Quick Flash Mode to both the components with 0.1 to 2.5 second recharge times. Apart from the above mentioned characteristics, the Mitros+ is offered carrying a remote radio flash control, which is complimented with Phottix Odin and Strato II receivers. The recently introduced flash units can also be initiated remotely or can be used to initiate off-camera flash units.

Phottix Mitros and Mitros+ Flash

In the update, the Phottix adds substantial characteristics allowing various advanced options for the photographers. It also allows photographers to utilize it on or off-camera for the lighting purpose. The Mitros and Mitros+ provide features to control and prompt the remote flash by using radio signals.
