In the foray of innovative gadgets, the renowned name in electronic gadget market Asus is finally ready to go Malaysia to present its two new tablets, dubbed Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) and MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL). Both tablets were showcased first at Computex 2014. The prices for both the devices are unknown at that time. Now, the prices and the availability of both tablets are known. It is reported by Hardware Zone Singapore that Fonepad 8 and MeMO Pad 8 will reach in market to sale on October 10 at the price of SGD 299 (Approx Rs. 14,300) and SGD 499 (Approx Rs. 24,000) respectively.
The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) has been appeared with revamped features while the MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) is LTE-enabled version of MeMOPad 8. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat platform, the Fonepad 8 uses Company’s own ZenUI. Its 3G connectivity support and the calling functionality make it useful enough. It comes with dual SIM support and gets 8-inch display, offering screen resolution of 1280x800 pixels.
The latest 64-bit Intel Atom Z3530 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.3GHz is used in this tablet to enhance the performance along with 1GB of RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is weighed 328 grams and comes in Black, White, Gold and Red colors.
On the other side, MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) was claimed as world's lightest 8-inch LTE tablet. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and uses ZenUI on top. Its 8 inch full HD IPS display can deliver great screen output with 1920x1200 pixels. The imaging part of this tablet shares the same features as Fonepad 8, having 5-megapixel rear camera and a front 2-megapixel camera. It comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, and NFC connectivity features.
