Asus has announced new device in Android tablet series dubbed Zenpads in its ongoing Computex event 2015 in Taipei. The latest ZenPad series supports 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch models, each one introduced with LTE variant and impressive features. Asus shared details about the 8-inch ZenPad and ZenPad S, So lets dive into the technicalities of these gadgets.
ZenPad S 8.0 is world's first tablet that offered 4GB RAM. The new ZenPad S8.0 features an 8-inch IPS display with 1536 x 2048 resolution. Like most of Asus smartphones and tablets, it also has 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 and comes with storage option of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB that can be expended via microSD card upto 128GB.
The tablet includes an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. You will get two front facing speakers with DTS HD premium that will give virtual surround sound action. The ZenPad S8.0 comes with USB Type-C support and measures 203.2 x 134.5 x 6.9 mm. It is available in black and white color option. It has an optional Z Stylus and claimed to offer 8-hour battery life.
The ZenPad 8.0 is slighter heavier and thicker as compare to ZenPad S8.0. It include a metallic frame and rounded corner. This smart device runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop and features an 8-inch LED WXGA IPS display.
Under the specs list, you will capture a quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom X3-C3200 processor along with 1GB/2GB RAM options. It sports 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front facing camera, that is enough to take quality pictures. Compare to ZenPad S8.0, it has only one front speaker with DTS HD premium sound. It is available in two storage variant 8Gb or 16GB. Also, you will get more color choices on this new tablet such as Black, White and Aurora metallic.
For now, Asus has not disclosed any information regarding the price and availability of these tablets. Soon, you'll see them in stores.
