The Taiwan based Multinational Company, Asus has made a comeback in the segment of hybrid devices. The firm has debuted one more two-in-one device: PadFone X mini for the market of smart devices. A spell ago, when a lot of leading companies were trying to unite tablets and smartphone into one body, Asus has launched its first-iteration: Padfone X. But, now a smaller model of the same device is ready to take off.
Hashing about the gadget, in which 4.5-inch mobile slots into a 7-inch tablet, which render pixel resolutions of 853 x 480p and 1280 x 800p respectively. The handheld is powered by a 1.6-GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and claimed to provide a high-speed 4G LTE wireless technology. It is also decked with Google's Android 4.4 KitKat along with Asus ZenUI.
After bringing a new idea to fuse a smartphone and tablet in a single shell, now the brand has proved that it is continuously endeavouring hard to enhance its technology and concept. Notably, the smartphone has its own name, called PadFone and it is housed with 5-megapixel rear camera alongside a 2-megapixel selfie snapper.
As per the reports, wherever the mobile slids into tablet docking station, it automatically gets charged by the tablet's 2,200-mAh battery and delivers lifespan of 28.3 hours. Also, it confers a 15.8 hours of battery life on a single charge in smartphone mode via its own 2,060mAh battery.
Moreover, the brand has collaborated with AT&T's to launch this dual-function device. It has been said to be available with a price tag of $199.99 and there is no annual contract on AT&T’s GoPhone prepaid plans. However, it has been announced to be traded in United States only from October 24, but we are yet to hear about its worldwide availability.
