Google brings Xolo and Nexian Chromebooks at Rs. 12,999

Google has just dropped two chromebooks for India with the help of two domestic tech companies Xolo and Nexian. The Mountain View tech giant has come to bless Indians with theirs Chromebooks and in this league; we have got the chance to taste Xolo Chromebook and Nexian Air Chromebook. Both are priced at Rs. 12,999. However, to buy both, you will have to move to different-different e-commerce stores – Snapdeal for Xolo Chromebook and Amazon for Nexian Air Chromebook.

Both devices have lots of similarities in specifications. An 11.6-inch IPS display with 1366 x 768 pixels screen resolution. Both run on Chrome OS and also come equipped with 16GB built-in storage with microSD card slot. Both are powered by 1.8 GHz Rockchip 3288 Quad-core processor which is capable enough in offering boasting performance with ARM Mali-T764 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM.

The only difference in their built, the Nexian Air Chromebook has splash-proof built which makes it durable to use at anyplace in any environment. During the launch of these two devices, the search engine giant has also introduced Google Now predictive virtual assistant for Chrome OS. The feature which is currently giving its services on Android based devices.

Xolo Chromebook

Smita Hashim, Global Product Manager of Chrome OS, Google said, “Since launching Chromebooks in India, we've been working to ensure that Chromebooks work in an environment where connectivity can be spotty and many people's first experiences with technology are through a phone rather than a laptop.”

On imaging side, you will get a 1MP of webcam, capable in offering 1280×720p result. Both have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 port to solve connectivity issue. Apart from this, Google is also providing free cloud storage of 100GB for two years along with both devices. Both are backed by 4200mAh battery, but make promise of delivering 10 and 8 hours of working life respectively.

Google has also said that it will be going to announce Asus Chromebook Flip, Asus Chromebook C201 and Samsung Chromebooks for India in coming months.
