Micromax Introduced Canvas Tab P690 Tablet, Priced at Rs. 8,999

The homegrown corporation: Micromax has brought a new Android 4.4 KitKat tablet, called Canvas Tab P690, which has been priced at Rs. 8,999 for Indian space. The CEO of company: Vineet Taneja has claimed that "they have created a powerful yet affordable device powered by Intel, aimed at helping family members enjoy the big screen of the Tablet for the things they love, including Movies, Games, Music, Reading and so on."

At first glance, device looks quite elegant with unique metallic brush finish body with diamond cut edges. It has an 8-inch IPS display, which offers a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800p. The gadget is compatible with 3G networks and comprises voice calling capability. Fueled by a 4000mAh battery, tab has been rated to deliver 180 hours of standby time and 13.5 hours of talk time on 2G networks.

Apart from 3G, handheld assimilates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB, GPS and OTG support on the connectivity front. It is powered by 4th Gen quad-core Intel Atom processor paired with Intel HD Graphics. Touching the subject of imaging, Canvas Tab P690 is fitted with a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera and accommodates a 2-megapixel fixed-focus selfie snapper.

Memory-wise, tablet is housed with 1GB RAM along with 8GB ROM, and users can extend its inbuilt storage up to 32GB by using a microSD card. In addition, tab is engineered with Light, Gravity and Proximity sensors.
