After churning out in rumours and reports, Apple has finally unzipped its refreshed iPod line-up. As expected, we have now a revamped iPod Touch which however looks similar with its ancestors, but have a complete new heart. It has new breathing system which makes it a compact iPhone 6-like device. At the initial price of Rs. 18,900, this improved iPod device has been landed in India on Thursday with three storage models – 16GB, 32GB and the hefty 64GB.
Well, as we said above, this new iPod Tocuh has same aesthetic like 4-inch retina display. However, some more colors have been added to widen the list of choice to pick the color for your new iPod, including space gray, silver, gold, pink, and blue. When talking about its entrails, then all get revamped here to make it the reminiscent of iPhone 6 in nature. It has the latest A8 chip and M8 motion co-processor which brings boasting performance to the device. Thanks to such a high-end processor which let users to play any game and run any app seamlessly. However, a report by techcrunch said about the 1.1GHz clock speed for this 64bit chipset which is down from iPhone 6’s 1.4GHz.
Not only the processor, the camera has also got improved with iPhone’s 8MP iSlight camera with f/2.4 aperture on rear panel and 1.2 MP FaceTime HD camera on front-end. Even, user can experience the iPhone-like photography because of the slo-mo and burst mode support. This refereshed iPod Touch also runs on the latest iOS 8.4 OS. SO, it’s clear that users in India can also enjoy company’s newest music streaming service Apple Music also on their iPod. Apple Music has a collection of 30 million songs with Beats 1 radio.
Apparently, the Touch cannot be able to make connection with mobile networks. So to access any app, you will have to use Wi-Fi network connectivity. As we said, it will be going to sale in India also at the base price of Rs. 18,900 which is for its 16GB model. 32GB and 64GB variants are priced at Rs 22,900 and Rs. 26,900 respectively. A new 128GB variant of iPod Touch has also been announced at $399, which is not available for India.
The Cupertino based tech leader has also added colors to its 16 GB iPod Nano and 2 GB iPod shuffle which includes space gray, silver, gold, pink, and blue.
