Panasonic Toughbook CF-XZ6: 12-inch 2-in-1 Detachable Rugged Hybrid Laptop Launched

Panasonic, the renowned Japanese electronics gadgets maker, has launched its latest Toughbook CF-XZ6 that comes with the rugged build and can be used in extreme conditions. This latest device is an addition to the Toughbook series of business laptops and comes with highlighting features like a slim look and lighter design. The Toughbook CF-XZ6 has currently been launched in UK market with a price tag of GBP 1,539 (Approx. Rs. 1,26,500) and will be made available to buy soon.

The company says, "the Toughbook CF-XZ6 is a 12-inch 2-in-1 detachable hybrid laptop/ tablet that can sustain "the knocks and drops of business life". It's worth mentioning that this hybrid laptop has been launched without MIL-STD certification and IP rating, but, the company has assured that it has passed a 76-centimetre free-fall drop and can withstand about 100-kilograms of weight pressure. The special feature embedded in the Toughbook CF-XZ6 is a round mouse pad that lets users scroll by running fingers around the edges.

This latest Toughbook laptop by Panasonic has been powered by a 7th generation Intel Core i5-7300U vPro processor coupled along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage and operates on Windows 10 Pro OS. The 12-inch 10 point IPS touchscreen comes with a quad-HD (2160x1440 pixels) resolution and has support for an Active stylus pen. The device comes in two RAM variants of 4GB and 16GB and with SSD storage option of 128GB or 512GB.

The tablet and keyboard both have been incorporated with a 4-cell battery rated to deliver around 6.5 hours and 7.5 hours of battery life respectively and a total battery life of around 14 hours. The connectivity options for the Toughbook CF-XZ6 include dual-band (2.4/5GHz) 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, and 4G LTE support. The external ports in the device are - USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio on the tablet part, and three USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet (RJ-45) and an SD card slot on the keyboard.
