Film Hasee toh Phsee is directed by Vinil Mathew and based on Harshvardhan Kulkarni's screenplay casting Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. It's an old couple love story with certain twist and turns and applauded humor.
Parineeti Chopra casted as quirky Meeta is a problematic child who has a brilliant restless mind. Her traditional Gujarati family doesn't know how to handle her; she is a daddy's girl whose all mistakes are overlooked by her dad. She plays a scientist whose inventions are unstoppable. Sidharth Malhotra, with an experience of just one film has done a mature act. He's casted as sensitive Nikhil who plays Yin to her Yang. Nikhil is a simple guy who's unable to fulfill people's expectations but is ever enthusiastic.
The story starts with Nikhil (Sidharth Malhotra) and Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), who are struggling to fit into their respective families. Nikhil clashes with Meeta on the occasion of her sister Diksha's wedding and falls in love with Karishma (Adah Sharma) her other sister and time passes. Years later Nikhil and Karishma enjoying their courtship time; Meeta returns back to Mumbai, being away from her family for years. Karishma asks Nikhil to help Meeta find accommodation, which finally ended up at Nikhil's house, Meeta lives with Nikhil's family and relatives. Gradually both are drown towards each other which lead to love. Nikhil is about to marry Karishma but falls in love with Meeta. And story goes on.
Alike every love story opposite people meet, fall in love and get married is not the scene with this story, there is a lot of humor, story is natural and everyone played their roles well. You'll end up smiling watching the film. Some of the catchy dialogs - "do half main ek full se zyada milta hai", "Socho mein idea hoti aur tum technology, humari patang kya mast udti na?". Parineeti and Siddharth are the screen stealers; Adah Sharma is a natural actor, complementing her role. Hasee toh Phasee is not magical enough but would leave a smile.
