Google has introduced add-on store for Google Docs spreadsheet and word processor apps. This add-on store is much similar to Chrome Web Store in terms of outlook. Add-on store is launched with about 50 add-ons and some others are about to come.

Google says that this consideration will bring new equipments that will give more user friendly features. The features will be new to the market which is not even available in Google's products.

Google's Add-On launch partner is Avery Label Merge that allows converging Google spreadsheet into Avery address labels. Another tool that prolongs Google Docs functionality is EasyBib's Bibliography Creator, which helps to make Google Docs platform better for students and professionals. Other launch partners are Mailchimp, which provides the capability of sending emails from Google Docs. Letter Feed tracks changes in the documents. PandaDoc supports electronic signatures and Uberconference which adds its conference call tools into the Docs.

The add-on store will be found in the menu bar on the right side of Google Docs. Right now the new menu can be seen in text documents and spreadsheets. But for Google Slides, the presentation app and Google Forms will be supported later in coming future.

Through UberConference, the conference call can be done from a single click in the document file. Like UberConference's Hangouts app, a user account will be created itself for those who don't have and the conference call would be done from the document. The document will present a sidebar for the conference call in the Google Docs.

These apps are powered by Google App Script that totally depends on JavaScript. Google will create an ecosystem for developers who can build the apps around the Google Docs. As Microsoft is going to expose online version of its office productivity suite, Google will have to face a tough competition.
