RM-1052 Leaked Images: Is Microsoft working on a Lumia 1020-like Device?

Most of us are known with the name and features of Nokia Lumia 1020. For those, who are unaware from both, I make them clear that it’s one of the best engineering works in Lumia segment with 41MP camera. After its arrival in 2013, we were expecting the successor of this classy handset and now few images have been dropped to match with the expectations. It seems like the successor of the Lumia 1020 is preparing itself to take a shape, to meet-up with today’s demand and requirement.

A Chinese auction website Taobao has leaked few images of a Windows phone which is looking so premium and classy with Lumia 1020 like rear camera. It is described in one of the leaked images with a codename RM-1052. As per the leaks, it is a prototype device, created by Redmond giant, Microsoft. The mysterious device, spotted in leaks could be a knockoff engineering work by craftsmen.

On the rear side, the text “proto.nokia.com” can easily be seen with “Prototype property of Microsoft Mobile.” The body seems made-up of Aluminum, but you can also see the polycarbonate strip at the bottom for high signal strength.

Microsoft’s RM-1052 is expected to come with an astonishingly large rear camera which you have seen on Lumia 1020. However, we can’t speculate that what resolution the alleged device will offer for its camera sensor. On the other side, leaked image is also showing the dual LED.

Going to articulate other specifications of this RM-1052, it is expected to arrive with a 5-inch display (1920x1080 pixels), 32GB storage and 2GB of RAM. It will run on Windows Phone 8.1 OS along with on-screen navigation buttons.

There is a possibility that Company will make a new device in the same shape of Nokia Lumia 1020 along with almost identical feature, or it may make some improvements in the old one. It is also said that this rumoured device could be the Nokia McLaren which was canceled by maker to show its presence. It was speculated that the canceled Windows Phone device will support Windows Phone’s off-screen gesture. Well, whatever it is, we are waiting for the mysterious Windows Phone 8.1 powered device to land on the floor.
