Android 6.0 Marshmallow Rolled Out in Lenovo A7000

Lenovo, the major Chinese smartphone maker has started to roll out the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in its A7000 smartphone in India.

The latest update is available over-the-air (OTA) and the users can manually check for the update via Settings> About Phone> System Update. The company recommends the users to have the strong Wi-Fi before downloading the update, the update is about 1.3GB in size. As per the reports, the Lenovo A7000 is receiving the new update with build number A7000-a_S153_151127_ROW_To_A7000-a_S223_160405_ROW.

Unfortunately, the company has not revealed the official changelog to highlight the changes that are coming to the phone with the update. Earlier in 2015, the company launched A7000 in India which came with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, skinned with the Vibe UI. Lenovo had claimed that it sell over 1 million 4G-enabled smartphones in India that included the Lenovo A7000 smartphone apart from the other Lenovo phones.

As we know that Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system is featuring features like revamped app permissions, Google Now On Tap, Android Pay mobile payment system, and new fingerprint APIs for developers.

To recall the specifications, Lenovo A7000 features a 5.5-inch display having a resolution of 720*1280 pixels. The GSM-based handset bears an 8GB of onboard internal storage, that can be further expandable via microSD card slot expansion and coupled with 2GB of RAM.

At the photography section, it incorporates 8-megapixel camera at the rear end with LED flash light along with the 5-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed by a 2900mAh battery.

Earlier this week, Lenovo launched the smartphone cum tablet which is named as Lenovo Phab, priced at Rs. 11,999. The dual SIM based Lenovo Phab runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and features a massive 6.98-inches IPS display, that is the main USP of the handset.
