Asus Rolls Out Android Marshmallow Update To Asus ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Zoom

Asus back in February guaranteed that it will discharge Android Marshmallow overhaul to ZenFone smartphones from April. The Taiwanese organization has now begun revealing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow redesign for the Asus ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL) and Asus ZenFone Zoom (ZX551KL). It must be noted that a month ago, the organization discharged the Marshmallow upgrade for the ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Max cell phones.

Asus reported the upgrade via its ZenTalk forum and affirms that ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone Zoom users will need to download the firmware physically from the official site. Aside from moving up to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the redesign additionally includes new elements, for example, Google Calendar, Google Messenger, Motion Gesture. The Camera application gets new Pano Sphere mode. The ZenFone Zoom, after the upgrade, will accompany preloaded applications, for example, Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.

Some applications that will never again be preloaded once ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone Zoom gadget have been upgraded up to Android 6.0 Marshmallow are Asus Backup, Google Play Books, Google Play Games, Google Play Newsstand, Google+, Mirror, Remote Link, PC Link, Photo Frame, What's Next, and Snap View, and ZenFlash.

Asus includes that Marshmallow redesign will expel some applications from the ZenFone Selfie including Asus Email, Asus Calendar, Asus Messaging, Asus Browser, and Asus Music after industrial facility reset. The organization recommends users to switch to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Messenger, Chrome, and Google Play Music for pertinent services.

The organization, however, cautions users that Android Marshmallow won't bolster exchange of applications through microSD card. "Please move apps to internal storage before system upgrades," notes Asus.
