Asus unveiled ZenFone Max At Rs. 9,999

Asus India has added another smartphone to its Zenfone series of smartphone, which is dubbed as Zenfone Max. The handset is now ready for pre-orders on e-commerce website Flipkart at a price tag of Rs.9,999. The tentative date for the release of smartphone is January 15. The smartphone was first showcased in India back in August last year.

The main USP of the smartphone is its 5000mAh battery which the company touts can work as a power bank for other devices. The company claims that the non-removable battery can deliver up to 914 hours of standby time and up to 38 hours of talk time.

In terms of specifications, the zenfone is featuring a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 atop for scratch-resistance, strength and everyday durability. It is having the resolution pixel of 720*1280 pixels. On the software front, the device runs ZenUI 2.0 based Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the device bears a 13 megapixel camera at the rear end with laser auto-focus light while 5 megapixel of camera at the front end with a wide f/2.0 aperture on the board. The dual SIM smartphone supports the 4G capabilities. The zenfone Max have the inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot expansion.

Earlier, the Chinese company unveiled the Gionee Marathon M4, which is priced at Rs. 15,499, with this type of huge 5000mAh battery. Another smartphone which is featuring large battery is Lenovo Vibe P1, comes with a 4900mAh battery, and was launched at Rs. 15,999 back in October.
