Asus ZenFone 3 Pegasus With 4100mAh Battery Launched

Taiwanese corporation Asus has again added a brand new Android smartphone in its ZenFone series released under the name of Asus ZenFone Peagus 3. The smartphone has been unveiled in China and by far the company has not yet declared as to what are its plans to reveal the smartphone globally.

The GSM-handset has been categorized in two variants on the basis of RAM and storage capacity. The basic variant giving 2GB RAM with 16GB storage capacity has been priced at CNY 1,299 (nearly INR 13,000), while the higher variant featuring 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space comes at a price of CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 15,000). Both the Asus ZenFone Pegasus 3 variants will go on sale via official Asus store in China.

The Dual-SIM smartphone is similar to several other latest smartphones since it too comes with a hybrid SIM card slot constraining the user to use one slot for the Nano-SIM and the other one for either a microSD card or another Nano-SIM depending on the requirements of the user.

The handset sports a 5.2-inch 2.5D curved display giving a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. The handset additionally operates on ZenUI 3.0 which is based on latest Android OS i.e., Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.

On the photography fronts, the handset offers a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture supported by a 5-megapixel camera on the front end. The Asus ZenFone Pegasus 3 also supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility and the company has confirmed that the handset also gives support to Indian LTE bands.

In terms of measurements, the device comes with 149.5x73.7x8.5mm and offers standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. The device additionally houses a 4100mAh battery.

One must recall that the company just last month organized its Zenvolution event where it unveiled three new ZenFone smartphones by the name of ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Ultra, all with different specifications and display sizes.
