Coolpad Note 8 Launched in India At Rs 9,999

As expected, Coolpad the Chinese smartphone has launched a new smartphone, called with Coolpad Note 8 in India. The announcement comes after the Coolpad Mega 2 which was launched in India two months ago at Rs 6,595 and currently available for purchase at Amazon.in.

The attractions of newly launched Coolpad Note 8 include dual rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5.99-inch screen. The disappointing part is that notch is missing on the device. To recall, the Coolpad Note 6 was launched in India in May 2018 at Rs 8,500.

In India, Coolpad Note 8 comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for single 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage configuration. The smartphone will be available for purchase from 15th October (launch date) exclusively at Paytm Mall. The smartphone has been launched in a Black Piano finish

Coolpad Note 8 Specifications

The Coolpad Note 8 features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display screen. The smartphone offers 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System.

In terms of hardware, it gets a quad-core Oreo MediaTek MTK6750T processor which clocked at 1.5GHz. For storing data, the company has offered 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.

For photography, the Coolpad Note 8 comes with dual rear cameras consisting of a 16MP primary sensor and a 0.3MP secondary sensor. An LED flash is positioned on a right-hand side of rear camera set up.

For selfies and video calling, the smartphone gets an 8MP 4P lens with an aperture of f/2.2. The camera app is preloaded with features like filters, face beauty for selfies, blur mode, panorama mode, and more.

The Coolpad Note 8 has a battery back up of 4,000mAh which the company claims that rated to deliver up to 200 hours of standby time and up to 8 hours of talk time.

The smartphone supports dual-SIM slots (dual standby), micro SD card, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone comes with a proximity sensor, light sensor, and accelerometer.

The dimensions and weight of the Coolpad Note 8 are 151x72.5x8.3mm and 185 respectively. A fingerprint sensor is positioned on the rear panel which is touted to unlock the device only in 0.2 seconds.

The device comes with gestural controls which allows the users to operate the smartphone with free hands by tapping, dragging, pressing tapping and more.

While addressing at the launch event, Syed Tajuddin, CEO, of Coolpad India, stated in a press release, “After going through a rough phase we are looking forward to making an impact in the Indian market with Coolpad Note 8.
