How Google Project Tango Tablet Developer Kit works and Internally Looks?

Most of techie people are familiar with the name of Project Tango which is a project by Google's Advanced Technology and Projects group (ATAP) and still under development. But, we are not acquainted with further details. If you are thinking that its just an another invention by Redmond’s giant, then you are wrong. It is developing for giving users a complete new view to see things. If we elaborate it in Google’s own word, then "Project Tango is to give mobile devices a human-scale understanding of space and motion."

It’s been a while when Google had brought its Project Tango tablet development kit which is based on Nvidia Tegra K1 and set the price tag of $1,024. That Project tango tablet is equipped with sensors which is capable in monitoring the motion and then develop the 3D model by sensing your motion. What the incredible feature it is, hard to swallow but true. However, this device will be available for developer to understand it. In Google words, they are just experimental devices.

I think, that will be out of the blue feeling for you. This development kit does the same. Some specs has been provided by Google for this tablet like 7-inch HD 1920 x 1200 pixels display, Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, 128GB of storage, 4GB of RAM and few others.

But what we do not know and what has been not provided is its specialty. iFixit has blessed everyone by providing its strong points images. iFixit is a renowned name in partitioning electronic devices to know about them. It has rolled out that tablet has a 120-degree camera on front and rear end has a 4MP RGB-IR camera. There is 170-degree motion tracking camera also mated on the rear panel which has the capability to prevent camera from users’ fingers.

Another jaw dropping feature is its dual-cell Li-ion battery with 7.6V/18Wh capacity is just euphemism of a double ton. Project Tango development Kit is also equipped with additional antennas.
