Intex Launched First VR-Headset Supportable Smartphone in India for INR 8,999

Intex - the homegrown company has disclosed its new Android smartphone in the country dubbed as Aqua View that comes included with the company's first virtual reality (VR) cardboard, the Eyelet. The smartphone has been priced at INR 8,999 in India and would be made available in two color variants namely Gray and White via local retailers of the nation. The organization claims that its first VR cardboard is a Google-confirmed VR viewer.

The Intex Aqua View accompanies an inbuilt cardboard application and the company has taken into consideration the fact that the Eyelet relies on version-2 of the Google Cardboard and is compatible with nearly all smartphones that come equipped with Gyroscope and Accelerometer sensors and also ensures that it is compatible even with those smartphones that sports 6-inch screen size.

The Dual-SIM smartphone also feature a fingerprint sensor on the home button and operates on Android Lollipop v5.1 OS. The handset sports a 5-inch HD IPS display giving a resolution of 720x1280 pixels with a pixel thickness of 294ppi. Under the hood, the device gets powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. In terms of memory storage, the GSM-handset offers 16GB of built-in storage that comes with expansion support up to 32GB.

In terms of camera specs, the device offers an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera coupled with a 5-megapixel camera on the front end. The device additionally offers 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a 3.5mm sound jack on the connectivity front.

The company taking into consideration the current trend has also incorporated 4G network support along with VoLTE (voice over LTE) in the device, but like always has also stated that the user would be able to access 4G service on only one SIM at a time. The device dimensionally measures 124x64x10.3mm, houses a power backup of 2200mAh battery and comes equipped with different sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

One must recall that the company recently unveiled another product in the country under the moniker Intex Cloud Glory 4G that also came with a support for 4G network as the name itself depicts and was priced at just INR 3,999. It came with Android M OS and offered a 5-megapixel camera on the rear end, whilst came with a minimal 2-megapixel camera on the front side.
