Karbonn Sparkle V Reached UK to spread Glitter of Android One

After making first debut in India, the Android One is all prepared to hit the stores in UK. The Indian mobile maker Karbonn has got this opportunity to introduce its Android One powered smartphone Sparkle V in UK market. The Company is not a big name outside India in the mobile manufacturing industry, but getting this opportunity, it has become the first brand that earned the honor of bringing the first Android One smartphone for other market.

The mobile maker has made partnership with Google for bringing such handsets globally. It is said that along with Sparkle V, three more handsets- Titanium S6, A19 and A5S has also made their debut in UK market. This smartphone is going to Amazon to sale from today. Because of Black Friday promotional deal for the beginning of Christmas, this handset will be going to sale at GBP 99 (Approx 9,668 INR), while the handset will be priced at GBP 129 without contract.

Looking at the price tag which has given to Sparkle V is comparatively higher than its India pricing which is Rs. 5,999 (Approx GBP 62). On the other side, Motorola Moto G (Gen 2) is also available at the same price with better specs than the Sparkle V. So, it could be happened that sparkle of this Karbonn handset may fade here.

On the specification side, they are same for both countries. It features 4.5-inch display, 4GB built-in storage, 32GB expandable storage, 1.3GHz Cortex A7 processor, 1700mAh battery, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The Android One devices was first announced in Google I/O 2014 and then made entry in Indian market under the branding of Micromax, Spice and Karbonn.

Karbonn Sparkle V runs on stock Android KitKat and comes under Google’s Android One project so the latest Android Lollipop will soon be reaching to this handset. It was claimed latest update will come first on these devices, but later it is reported a delay for Android 5.0 update in Android One devices. However, the Android One handsets cannot achieve the success in Indian market for which they are developed for. Let’s see, whether they gained some success in UK market or not at GBP 129.
