Kodak IM5: A Smartphone for Shutterbugs at Pepcom Floor

To bring the glow back in the tech world, the veteran camera manufacturing company Kodak has finally jumped into the smartphone market. The first fine work of the company in this realm has been seen at the floor of the CES in Las Vegas. The Kodak IM5 – you can call it simply a Kodak Phone which is manufactured by the Chinese company Bullitt.

The phone is a camera device from its origin, but a smartphone by nature.  This smartphone will remove the discomposure of carrying a camera for picture taking purpose and will also bless shutterbugs with a miraculous smartphone which will be capable enough to meet with their desire and requirements. Bullitt has given this device a ruggedized base as per its flair.

Kodak IM5

This Kodak handset will also make you free from buying flagships. The IM5 bears a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter which have enough captivating feature to click images in every kind of light condition. To make them easily sharable and printable, the Company has added customization to the Android 4.4 KitKat platform. The best work of the customization you can see when the phone shows the slides of images on the lockscreen and a shortcut on the same for printing images.

The ruggedness and sturdiness of the device including the weight can easily be measured by holding it in hand. Its simple launcher screen with all necessary tools like Magnifier, phone dialer, email etc. will make this handset easily accessible. The Verge got the chance to experience the Kodak Phone. On the specification side, Kodak IM5 is featured with a 5-inch IPS display, offering 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution. This dual SIM smartphone gets an octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek processor, 8GB built-in storage, and 1GB of RAM. It will be going to sale at $249 for European market in the Q1 of this year.
