Launch of YU Yutopia Delayed Till 17 December

For a long time, Micromax is getting a good response from the customers for its products and also doing very well with its YU Televentures brand. As you all know that recently, the brand had announced the launch of its new flagship smartphone, the Yutopia, on 7 December, 2015, but due to some reasons the launch is delayed till at least December 17.

Mr. Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder and CEO of YU tweeted about the delay, “Hold your excitement, as we plan to announce something special with YUTOPIA. The most powerful phone now launched on 17th Dec.” The company has also been running teaser campaigns for the new smartphone to target the OnePlus 2 and even the Apple iPhones.

As earlier, the company has reveled the features of the YU Yutopia, that will include 32 GB of inbuilt storage instead of 16 GB, which is still the minimum inbuilt storage in the Apple iPhone models. Besides this, a Quad HD display will also be there on the smartphone and also it's the first model of the company, which is made out of metal.

The main reason of the launch delay is that they have two smartphones lined up for release and the company did not wish to hold two separate attempts. According to the report, Micromax's Yu has faced a problem due to non-payment of royalties to Ericsson. So, the Delhi High Court banned Micromax's subsidiary YU Televentures from importing and selling mobile handsets and other devices.
