Lava, recently listed Lava X46 smartphone on its official website for a price tag of INR 7,999. The company now has added another X-series smartphone in its lineup of products under the moniker the Lava X81. This new Android smartphone has been priced at INR 11,499 and would be going on sale via e-commerce website Flipkart from June 13 as well as would be available for purchase via local retail stores.
The organization to woo its customers has also added Airtel's double data offer without giving any further details on its maximum limit and validity. Additionally, the users would be getting a 1-year free screen replacement offer from the company, but it would be limited to only those users who purchase the smartphone in the first month itself. Another report also indicates that the company would unveil a Gold color variant of the product next month.
On the software front, the smartphone operates on Android v6.0 OS which is based on Star OS 3.0 out-of-the-box and the device further sports a 5-inch HD IPS 2.5D display giving a resolution of 720x1280 pixels with a pixel density of 294ppi. The display gets further protection due to the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Dual-SIM smartphone gets powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM. It accompanies 16GB of built-in storage which is expandable up to 64GB by means of microSD card. The handset is additionally supported by a 2700mAh battery.
Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Nigam, Head of Product, Lava International said, "It's an immense delight for us to announce Lava X81, a smartphone with a powerful combination of design and technology. It's not just a complex maze of components put together - it is, in the truest sense, a device that has a style quotient and flaunts value of its own."
On the camera front, the Lava X81 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and f/2.0 aperture supported by a 5-megapixel front camera which also sports a front flash. The GSM-based handset dimensionally measures 142.6x73.4x8.4mm and gives support to VoLTE by means of a future FOTA (firmware over-the-air) upgrade. Apart from being a 4G-device, the cell phone additionally supports standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/EDGE, and 3G.
