LG G5 to Release in Early April with Extra Battery and Charging Cradle

South Korean smartphone maker LG latest flagship LG G5 recently got the Best New Smartphone award at the 2016 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last month for its innovative approach. The device houses a 2800mAh battery that slides out from the bottom of the phone, leaving a slot that can be used to insert various modules for enhanced DSLR camera controls, better sound quality, a virtual reality viewer and much more.

As per the latest reports, the company has now decided to sell out LG G5 smartphone in the U.S in early April. Though the company never gave any specific details on the launch of G5, but recently confirmed that it might unveil the same in Canada on April 8. This breaking news has led many to speculate that not only LG but many others major U.S carriers too might release the product on the same day.

Morris Lee, LG Electronics MobileComm's senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing said, "You only have to wait a few weeks to get your hands on the LG G5. It's clear from the consumer polls being conducted by the media that people are incredibly excited about the phone and we're very proud of the practical innovations in the G5 and Friends as well. The rave responses to the LG G5 from the press and the industry are proof that the smartphone is exciting again and it is obvious that the LG G5 is well worth waiting for."

Both Samsung and LG took the global opportunity of unwrapping their flagship products at the recently held Mobile World Congress in February, and enthusiastic fans are eagerly waiting to try the products at the earliest. Samsung latest released products the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will officially go on sale on March 11, although carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and Best Buy have already shipped the smartphones to customers who preordered the devices.

Apart from the date rumors, LG has also confirmed that for a limited period of time, customers would be getting a free extra battery and a charging cradle along with the contents of the original purchase. Additionally, it has also confirmed that the handset will be made available for purchase via Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Best Buy and B&H.
