List of Smartphones Getting Android Oreo Updates

With the launch of Android 8.0 Oreo, the smartphone has become more smarter as includes the features such as quick boot speed which makes the Android phones two times faster, improved background activity, autofills enabling for login, use two apps at once, notifications dots, teleport into apps directly via browser, new emojis, and scan 50 million apps per day. Here is the list of Android phones recently received Oreo update.

OnePlus5:

OnePlus 5, launched in 2017 starting, gets the first Android 8.0 Oreo Open Beta Build. Along with this, the Chinese smartphone firm has also mentioned the debut of its Open Beta Program for the OnePlus5. In addition, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones received stable Android 8.0 Oreo-based OxygenOS 5.0 builds. The Face Unlock feature, which was launched for the OnePlus 5T in this November, also included in Oreo-based Open Beta 2 build for the OnePlus 5 smartphone. The inclusion of features due to latest update includes Auto-fill, a new Quick Settings design, Smart text selection, Notification Dots for the OnePlus launcher, a new app folder design, Parallel Apps, and Picture-in-Picture.

Nokia 8:

Android Oreo update is rolling out for HMD Global’s flagship model, the Nokia 8. The update in smartphone weights 1518.1MB in size and accommodated with the November Android security update also. The other smartphone from a company which will receive the Oreo update is Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3, and Nokia 2. The Nokia 8 includes the features like a 5.3-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, IP54 rated, 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5, two 13-megapixel sensors, dual-tone LED flash, a 76.9-degree wide-angle lens, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), 64GB of inbuilt UFS2.1 storage, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, digital compass, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor.

Nokia 5 And Nokia 6:

Along with Nokia 8, the HMD Global announced that it will bring stable Android Oreo updates which would be affordable according to the Nokia smartphones, Nokia 5 and 6. Both the gadgets basically run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The latest update will include smart text selection, Google Play Protect integration, notification dots, picture-in-picture mode, and also expected to get Android security update for November 2017.

HTC U11:

HTC U11 has launched in June 2017 with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. From 27 November the smartphone will get Android 8.0 Oreo OS update. With the open build update of the Oreo, the company became third in the row after Oneplus and Nokia to get this update. With the new updates, the HTC U11 will get Picture-in-Picture mode which enhances better productivity, Smart text selection, and passwords autofill.

Sony Xperia XZ:

The Sony announced the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its Xperia XZ and Xperia XZs. Both the gadget have Android 7.1 Nougat and launched in 2016 and will get the update by the end of this year. The new features with the inclusion of Android oreo include Picture in Picture (PiP) mode, Google Play Protect integration, and new Quick Settings menu. Apart from this, the smartphone will be updated with text autofill, notification dots, and background limits.
