Micromax Canvas Amaze Listed Officially; Canvas Mega Available Now

Micromax has unwrapped two new smartphones in the portfolio of the handsets. The device in the canvas series as Canvas Mega and Canvas Amaze are listed by the company, with the Canvas Mega is now available via a third-party online retailer at Rs. 8,099. The devices are expected to sell in Indian market soon.

The Canvas Mega is a dual SIM device that supports both GSM ports. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. It is powered up by 1.4GHz octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display that has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Under the hoods, it sports 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Measuring 154x78.7x8.9mm, the device packs 2820mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 600 hours of standby time.

On the snapper’s edge, it has 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera on board. It additionally packs sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The connectivity options to explore includes 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and Bluetooth.

On the other hand, Canvas Amaze is another set featuring 5-inch HD (720X1280 pixels) IPS display with dual SIM support to run Android 5.1 Lollipop. It grabs its power from quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM. It has an in-built storage of 8GB which can be expanded up to 32GB (via microSD card).

It packs 2000mAh battery which is said to deliver up to 260 hours of standby time and up to 7 hours of talk time. The connectivity features hitched inside the handset include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and A-GPS. The shooter’s front has 13-megapixel rear with LED flash and also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera.
