Moto G (Gen 2) comes first in race for Getting Android 5.0 Lollipop Update

Setting aside the name of Nexus devices, the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update is going to delight Motorola’s second generation Moto G. Though, the Company is now a property of Lenovo, but still has maintained the reputation and name for releasing Android update with fast speed for its handsets. It’s quite surprising that soon the Moto G (Gen 2) users will taste the latest dish in their plates.

However, the Pure Edition of 2014 Moto X is also in the queue to bring this. Both are working on this, but the 2014 Moto G would be the first in this race to bring the Android 5.0 Lollipop update as it has gone beyond the testing stage while the Moto X (Gen 2) is under testing stage.

Moto G Gen 2 with Android Lollipop Update

LG G3 is also claimed to be a part of this race and stands at third position. We even went through some leaked screenshots revealing about LG G3 Android 5.0 Update. Those leaked images were of testing stage. It is to inform you that it will be rolling out on unlocked Moto G (Gen 2) and Pure Edition of Moto X (Gen 2). So, users of old Moto X and Moto G will have to wait for experiencing the new dish, including the carrier-branded 2014 Moto X. However, the Company is rolling out such update for unlocked version’s US customers only.

So the users of Moto G (Gen 2) GSM Unlocked version can download the 386.7MB Lollipop update. However, it was claimed earlier that other Nexus devices will receive the same first; even the Nexus 5 caught with battery drain bug at the time of testing the handset with new dish. It is reported that LG, HTC and some other manufacturers also have plans to bring this new dessert on their devices.

Android Lollipop Update in Motorola smartphones

Motorola has posted a list of smartphones which will be receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update very soon. Droid Turbo, Droid Maxx, Moto E, old Moto X and Moto G are few names from that list.
