Nokia Introduces Smartphones Line Up With 4G Variant of 8110

HMD Global, the manufacturer of Nokia smartphones has launched five new phones including one feature phone and other four smartphones which are dubbed as Nokia 1, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 (2018). The 4G VoLTE feature phone is dubbed as Nokia 8110 4G. All of the five smartphones have been launched by HMD Global ahead of MWC 2018 Event which was conducted in Barcelona on 25th February 2018 (Sunday). Nokia 7 Plus Specifications

The Nokia 7 Plus boasts a 6-inch full-HD IPS display along with the resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It is the first smartphone which the company is offering an 18:9 aspect ratio display and having a 500-nits peak brightness rating. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4G out of LPDDR4 RAM. Nokia 7 Plus is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass which helps to protect the smartphone.

Nokia 7 Plus comes with dual- rear camera setup comprises 12-megapixel wide-angle primary camera featuring a f/1.75 aperture, and a 13-megapixel secondary camera featuring a f/2.6 aperture and as well as 2x optical zoom. For the selfie snapper, Nokia 7 Plus has a 16-megapixel fixed focus, featuring a f/2.0 aperture, and 1-micron pixels. Both, front as well as rear sides of the camera have a Zeiss optics. It packs a 3800mAh battery along with fast charging support and the company claims that once you fully charge the smartphone it will run for two days. Nokia 8 Sirocco sports a 5.5-inch OLED display and the body of the smartphone is built with stainless steel frame. The smartphone also has a Corning Gorilla Glass for protection on both sides and certified with water and dust resistance. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage capacity and runs on latest operating system i.e., Android 8.0 Oreo. Nokia 8 Sirocco featuring a dual- rear camera setup comprises a 12-megapixel primary camera along with Zeiss lens and a 13-megapixel secondary camera offering a telephoto for 2x optical zoom.

At the front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel sensor featuring a with a fixed focus lens, f/2.0 aperture, and 1.4-micron pixels. It packs a 3,260 mAh battery along with the support of Qi wireless charging and fast charging. It is anticipated that the delivery of Nokia 8 Sirocco will start sometimes earlier in April 2018 nearly at 749 EUR (roughly Rs 59,600).

Nokia 1 Specifications

Nokia 1 sports a 4.5- FWVGA display and powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor which is clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The phone packs a 2150mAh battery under the hood and runs on latest operating system Android 8.0 Oreo. The Nokia 1 comes with removable covers dubbed as Xpress-On covers which is available in four color options. In terms of optics, Nokia 1 featuring a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing selfies and video calling. The shipping of Nokia 1 will start selling in early April 2018 at $85 (roughly Rs 5,400).

Nokia 6 (2018) Specifications

 Nokia 6 (2018) has been launched by HMD Global at the global level. It runs on latest operating system Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone comes with Android One offering with the promise of stock Android and swift updates. Nokia 6 boasts a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display along with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC chipset coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Nokia 6 (2018) has a 16-megapixel rear camera offering a f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixels, dual-tone LED flash, Zeiss optics, and PDAF. At the front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera for video calling and selfies offering a f/2.0 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. It packs a 3000mAh battery and the company is offering wireless charging. It is expecting that the delivery of Nokia 6 (2018) will be available from April nearly 279 EUR (roughly Rs 22,200).

Nokia 8110 4G Feature Phone Specifications 

The iconic Nokia 8110 feature phone has been launched by HMD Global Nokia on Sunday in Barcelona. Firstly, it was introduced in 1996, the Nokia 8110 feature phone was dubbed as the "banana phone" due to its design in the curved shape and was utilized by Keanu Reeves' earlier in the 1999 movie “The Matrix”. As the name suggesting that the smartphone is equipped with 4G VoLTE support and the customers can use as a Wi-fi hotspot. The phone is equipped with Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search. The phone also has social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. The users can download the apps from app store, which is powered by a KaiOS. The Nokia 8110 4G supports single sim and runs on a Smart Feature OS. It is embedded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 SoC and having 512MB of LPDDR3 RAM. The 4G feature phone has a 2-megapixel rear camera and the front camera is missing on the phone.

It is anticipated that the shipping of the 4G feature phone will start from May nearly at EUR 79 (roughly Rs. 6,300). It will be available in two two color options: Traditional Black and Banana Yellow.

Florian Seiche, CEO of HMD global said that all of new Nokia smartphones will be equipped with Google Android One platform. He further added that “All new Nokia smartphones from Nokia 3 and above will join the Android One family globally.”
