OnePlus 3 is all set to be unveiled by the Chinese startup, OnePlus, today. For live coverage of the launch event, the company has introduced an Android app- the OnePlus 3 Launch: The Loop, which is available on Google Play. The virtual launch event will begin at 10.00pm IST (12:30pm EDT).

According to Carl Pei, Co-founder of OnePlus, this time the smartphone will not be sold through an invite system, and will be available for purchase through open sales. For the initial 2 Hours after the launch, OnePlus 3 can be purchased through The Loop app, and after that it will be available on OnePlus website from 12:30 IST (or 3.00pm EDT June 14), and on Amazon.
As announced, OnePlus will be conducting flash retailing in seven cities across the world, starting Wednesday. Apart from enabling the users to get an first hand experience of OnePlus 3, the phone can also be purchased through Flash Retails. These pop -up shops will get opened in London, New York, Paris, Berlin, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The setup time of pop-up shops in Delhi,Mumbai and Bengaluru is same while it will be conducted on different days. Like in Delhi and Mumbai it will held in The Collective on Wednesday and Friday respectively and In Bengaluru, at Indelust on Saturday.

Already 1,000 units of the phone has been sold in China through flash sale at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs.30,600) on June 6. OnePlus 3 has passed through US and China certifications.The device is said to some with a 5.5-inch display and powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. The entire OnePlus 3 series will come in six variants, of which three will be with storage variants and other three with RAM variants. It is also expected to have a fingerprint sensor, 16MP/8MP cameras, 3,450 mAh battery and a USB Type-C port.
