Reliance was the first one to offer 3G connectivity at a very reasonable cost. Other network operators were little worried about the growth which R.com attained with its slashed 3G rates. The company has received good appreciation with the minimum price of Rs. 123 for 1 GB of 3G internet. But this has become the story of past after the company raised their plans.

Reliance communications have increased the prices of their 3G plans. The 1 GB plan which they were providing for Rs. 123 will now be available for Rs. 156. The Rs. 123 plan will now provide only 400MB of data. Other higher download plans including Rs. 246 and Rs. 492 will provide the downloading capacity of 1.5 GB and 3 GB respectively which is less than the earlier plans which were for 2 G and 5 GB. The company has 91 lakh 3G users at present. The prices for these plans are increased due to the hike in the prices of other network operators. But still the Reliance is offering these plan at 40% lesser cost than other rivals in the market. The prices of reliance 3G are equivalent to 2G data plans of other opponents.
